Navigant's Life Sciences practice works with pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients to address a wide range of business issues including market analyses, strategy development and business planning. Projects include: portfolio/product strategy, new product planning, pricing and reimbursement strategies, life cycle management, and evaluation of acquisition/partnership opportunities.
The Life Sciences practice at Navigant provides an entrepreneurial environment which stimulates creativity and encourages a free flow of ideas. By maintaining a cohesive small team culture, senior members provide mentorship and coaching, and help nurture professional development. The projects require minimum travel to client site (10-15%) and most work is accomplished at the home office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a highly challenging position that draws heavily upon all of the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to effective general strategy consulting. The ability to assume complete ownership of significant projects while at the same time being a part of and leading a close knit team is essential. Our consultants must organize their own tasks and schedules in carrying out substantial business analyses and delivering high quality, client-ready work. As our clients are often large, complex systems, these consultants must demonstrate considerable poise and business maturity to perform effectively and add value in the client environment.Required to work across and successfully lead multiple projects simultaneously. This person will be required to help develop and mentor junior staff during the course of projects as well as independent of client work. Responsible for aspects of internal operations including budgeting and staffing. Expected to contribute to ongoing business development
* MBA or Ph.D. or relevant Master's Degree preferred
* Life Science industry experience and/or education or strategy consulting experience is required
* Pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical marketing or market research experience desired
* Strong understanding of:
* Existence and application of pharmaceutical research resources
* Market analysis in context of life sciences business needs
* Sophisticated approaches to analysis of quantitative data
* Financial analysis, budgets, and quantitative forecast modeling
Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated project management skills
Creative, strategic approach to problem resolution
Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel and PowerPoint) required
Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as SPSS, SAS, MatLab preferred
Minimal travel is required (up to 20%)
